The MD also mentioned that LPRC has made profits due to increase in revenue; he revealed that the company has made progress since 2009, where it’s net income rose to that of 4.2 million dollars, while in 2010, it’s net income increased to 5.2 million dollars and in 2011, the net income rose to that of 6.6 million dollars. This shows that “we are getting better each year”, the MD indicated. He also said “we are trying and looking at ways to improve the lives of our employees”.
All is now set for the rehabilitation of the Product Storage Terminal (PST) via the Motherwell contract with the news that the Liberia Anti Corruption Commission (LACC) has cleared Motherwell and LPRC of all corruption charges. The LACC had earlier raised the red flag that the entire signed contract was bogus and corrupt and after a thorough investigation into the whole issue, the UK based company has being cleared of all such charges. The disclosure was made on Wednesday, April 25, by the Managing Director, Mr. T. Nelson Williams, II at an “Under the Tree” meeting with the workforce.
