LPRC COMMEMORATES 19th RETIREMENT CEREMONY AND STAFF APPRECIATION DAY WITH DIGNITY AND ENERGY

The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) on Thursday, December 11, 2025, observed its 19th Retirement Ceremony and Staff Appreciation Day at the Paynesville Town Hall. The lively and memorable occasion honored 15 committed retirees and applauded outstanding employees, contractors, consultants, and corporate partners for their exceptional service throughout the year.
The following retirees were celebrated for their years of loyalty and dedicated contributions to the company: Mr. Mark D. Cleon, Mr. Ronald Nagbe, Mrs. Annie Mettle, Mr. Ansumana B. Morris, Mr. Ferry W. Chenoweth, Mr. Gabriel T. Blamo, Mr. Augustine P. Hero, Mrs. Agnes O. Kulee, Mr. K. Prince Flownpoe, Ms. Christiana B. Jones, Mr. Anders B. Horace, Mr. Ernest Mettle, Mr. John T. Pouh, Mrs. Bendu F. Nyanti, and Mr. Ben Nyanfor.
The program further highlighted excellence in several key categories: Contractor of the Year: Mr. Sensee Johnson Employee of the Year: Mr. Jeremiah T. Wilson Consultant of the Year: Mr. Tiah Nagbe Assistant Manager of the Year: Mrs. Precious Chea Manager of the Year: Mr. Samuel V. Mussah Corporate partners were also honored for their continued support: Importer of the Year: Aminata & Sons Distributor of the Year: Standard Petroleum Tanker of the Year: Truck Good Will Delivering special remarks, LPRC Managing Director Hon. Amos B. Tweh described the event as “a long-standing tradition of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company,” noting that it provides an annual opportunity to express profound appreciation to those who have strengthened the institution over the years. He commended the retirees for the values they brought to the company, stating: “You carried into this institution the principles instilled in you by family, community, and mentors. Through the years, you upheld professionalism, maintained high standards, respected leadership, worked collaboratively, and helped ensure the smooth and secure functioning of this corporation.” He extended similar praises to the award recipients and partners, adding: “Your remarkable contributions continue to improve the operations of LPRC.
We appreciate your dedication and look forward to reaching even greater milestones together.” MD Tweh also announced that Contractor of the Year, Mr. Sensee Johnson, will be offered full employment starting January 2026, while Employee of the Year, Mr. Jeremiah T. Wilson, will receive a promotion to a higher pay grade in recognition of his outstanding performance. The event brought together senior management, staff, families of the retirees, partners, and well-wishers, creating a spirit-filled atmosphere of reflection, recognition, and togetherness.
