Human Resource

The Human Resources department at the Liberian Petroleum and Refining Company (LPRC) is responsible for managing the well-being of the entire workforce, with a focus on permanent and non-permanent employees and contractors.
The Human Resources (HR) end to end process is inclusive of the lifecycle of all employees related functions from hiring, onboarding, capacity building, (short-term skill building and continuous education), performance management, disciplinary actions, promotions, separations and retirement.
Within HR, we take pride in confidentiality and proper handling of all employee and staff related documents and processes in line with our company policies. HR is pleased to drive staff engagement, employee relations, and staff motivation with proper placement.
The HR Department consists of several sections and Units. The office of the HR Manager steers the affairs of the department. The office of the HR Manager is assisted by the office of the deputy HR Manager & staff, with the heart of HR functions handled within the Personnel and Benefits office and section.
Employees’ skills training and capacity building is met through the Training and Manpower section. In keeping the wellness of our workforce intact, HR also manages the overall function of the onsite Clinic and nursing staff.
Additionally, HR is responsible for the medical health insurance of all staff through its Insurance Unit. The Insurance unit, working through HR, supports all insurance policies concerning medical, company vehicles and property insurance. Insurance also handles death and retirement final payouts at the social security offices.
